Welcome to my Guestbook

Welcome whether you have come to rant and rave about my ramblings or praise them.
I hope that my blog isn't getting too depressing but hey .. that's life sometimes.
It is definitely hard to have your youngest child do what mine did.
Join the Marines and go 3000 miles or more away for 5 years.
Just slap me if I get too depressed ... I will come out of it!
Now leave me a nice note so I can visit you!

I have just started my own "space" and did a search for the things I have an interest in. When I found this site, it was under a search for camping but I was in awe how well of a match for my interests it was. You ride a Harley, and you have a very brave son serving in the Corps. Well, as a fellow PGR member as well (but have not personally served) I want to commend you on your sacrifices as well as your sons for providing the freedoms so many of us take for granted every day. My name is NobleEagle and I too ride. I am new to the blog thing (but not to the web) and don't want to ramble here, but I look forward to checking back on your site, and adding to mine as well. Maybe it will eventually be 1/2 as good as yours. Again, Thank you for all you and your son have sacrificed (as well as his brothers), and I pray for his safe return. Semper Fi!

Wow, this space page is very moving.  I love every bit of it.  I have lost former high school classmates overseas, and others are still over there.  I talk to their moms every so often, they talk my ear off with all the updates, they are so proud- and they should be.  I grit my teeth together when I hear people down talking the President, and his decisions to go to war and when the troops are coming home.  My opinion, and everyone has one, is that President Bush couldn't let them attack our home- we had to fight back and fast.  What were they going after next?  They already accomplished most of their plans. We couldn't let them take anymore!!  As far as the troops still being over there and so many of our own are dying, we can't just leave with mission not accomplished.  What purpose would that serve?  They would declare victory!!  It's sad that we have lost so many of our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers- it's war!  That's what they signed up for, to fight, to give all of us freedom, to give all of us security.  All Americans need to Support all our troops, and whether we're Demorcratic, Republician, or Independant- we need to support the decisions that our Commandar and Chief made, and let our troops do the job til it's done!
I really wanted to visit your site to indroduce my site - http://www.MomsUnited.net, a work from home program.  Allowing you to make extra money from home without all the hype and scams of selling or investing large amounts of money.  If you know any military wives/moms that would be interested, please feel free to send them my way.  Sorry I completely got off track with my rambaling.  God Bless your family, and thanks for all you do!!

Sincerely,
Angela Davis from Ohio

I just love what you have done.  My Son, Russell, is at Camp Lejeune, N.C. he's been a Marine for 2 yrs.  I am so very proud of him and also very worried.  I am sad my Father is not with us anymore to see the wonderful thing he is doing for our Country.  At the same time glad he cannot know what is going on in Iraq and all the lost lives.  Thanks so much for your blog.

Hello there, I by chance came across your blog  and wanted to let you know how impressed I am with all your hard work and the tremondous support and effort you show for your son and the many troops that need positive support out there fighting in order to keep us safe and free in our own country.

I have a 2 nephews that are brothers, one a Marine with 3 tours in Iraq the other in the Airforce.  At this point both are facing the possibility of one going for a 4th tour and the other for a first tour.  My daughter just turned 20 and has decided to join the Army and her intentions are to volunteer to go to Iraq.  The three are close in ages.  All three are proud to serve their country as their fathers before them.  They have never forgotten 9/11 and choose to defend our country and keep the war out of our front and back yards.  The devastation is far reaching and hurts us all in some form or another.  This is not as big a world as some people think.  Many people, friends and relativies of ours and many other people died that day, all of them inocent.  We were attacked on our own soil.  My daughter and her cousins believe there will be more attacks in our country if we do nothing to keep defending it.  This may or may not be a reality but imagine the possibility of the worst happening.  These brave young men and women have volunteered out of the goodness of their hearts and will sacrifice everything they hold dear in order to keep us back here at home safe and sound.   The least we at home can do is support their efforts and the sacrifice many will make.  The worst thing for them to hear is the non support and protests that are going on here at home while they chose to volunteer their lives, their time and effort in order to make it possible for the freedom we so greatly enjoy.   It is with much sadness and great fear that we must endure our children  choosing to join an all volunteer Military.  Yet these young men and women just barely out of High School and many looking like they are just out of Middle High or just entering High School continue to sign up every day.  Each and every one of them must and should be treated and considered HEROS because they truely have earned that title.  I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you are doing for the troops.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  God bless you and your family.  Proud parent and Aunt of an Army daughter, and 2 nephews, a Marine and Airforce  family of cousins.  Rose Ledesma
